The Hignett Family Trust is a long-standing local landowner with deep ties to Bath and the surrounding area. The Trust has stewarded this land for generations and is committed to ensuring future development is carefully planned and leaves a positive legacy. With housing need at record levels, the Trust recognises the responsibility of using land in sustainable locations such as Sulis Down to help provide homes for people who need them. The Trust, in bringing forward Phase 1, has delivered a scheme of high quality architecture which is one of the only sites in the area to have provided affordable housing at policy compliant 40%.
Together, Welbeck Land and the Hignett Family Trust are committed to bringing forward refreshed proposals for Sulis Down that are sensitive to the landscape, shaped by community engagement, and designed to provide new homes and community benefits for future generations.
